Christmas Countdown: Pelvic Relief Gift Guide

Posted: December 7, 2017 By: Comment: 0

I love Christmas. I love the build up. I love the debate about when we can start the build up. I love the letters to Santa. I love the smell of a Christmas tree. I love the over decorated lower branches as those are the only ones the kids can reach. I love the large tins of sweets that appear on the 1st December and the extra mince pie just because. Don’t even get me started on the cheesy Christmas movies or slightly itchy woolly jumpers. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

So it the interest of making sure you love your Christmas too here is my gift guide extraordinaire!

For Younger Kids

Christmas present for young kids

If your kids love music but you think your only options are screen based devices or reverting to ancient technology of pre 2017 Jooki might just be the perfect solution. A smart audio speaker designed by three self proclaimed geek dads. Designed to allow kids to enjoy music and stories without a screen in sight, five characters link to different playlists and a parent app to control the content. Jooki certainly does rock.

For the Pre-teen

Present for active kids
Rock ‘N’ Hopper

Activity is king and Rock N Hopper Pogo Lolo Ball Balance Board is my winner. If you were a child in the 1980’s you will surely remember this, love the catchy name too….

For the Runner

Sportswear for the pelvic floor
EVB Shorts

As a mum of 3 who needs running and netball to maintain any sense of sanity, EVB Leggings have been transformative. Although this doesn’t feel like a fun Christmas fact 1 in 3 women experience urinary incontinence and it holds them back from the sport they may love. EVB leggings are flattering, comfortable and improve your core stability, an all round win.

For Him

Gin is the new black. We have definitely moved to a new level of herb-infused-exotic blends so why not make your own! Time to impress your party guests with your modern day alchemy skills.

For the Music Lover

If someone you love has a crushing desire to channel their inner Phil Collins then I say let those creative juices flow with the Rhythm Pocket Drum Machine by Teenage Engineering. Worth checking out their YouTube tutorials then away you go!

For the Yogi

Yoga Block

So much more than just a yoga block the fluid curves and wedge shape of the Buttafly make for a supremely versatile prop for use in Yoga, Pilates, Meditation or any situation where support is required to help make a position or posture more comfortable. Quite frankly even if you don’t know your Ashtanga from your Kripalu the Buttafly is the perfect sitting aid to unwind the postural stresses of the day, turkey related or otherwise.

For the New Mum

At a time when you are conscious about what is going in and on your body Kevin Murphy’s organic hair care range is a winner. The incredible smell of Doo Over is enough to recommend this one but lightweight hairspray with what can only be described as a magic ingredient that soaks up excess oil makes it a must have on the list of time strapped new mums who need an effortless do over!

So with the last of your shopping taken care of all that remains is to stick on Wham! and ponder whether Sherry can still be drunk after it has been open for a year…..

Merry Christmas
